Electronic Waste Collection & Recycling
At Yaktak Electronics, we are proud to offer an environmentally responsible Electronic Waste Collection Service to residents, businesses, and institutions across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Our mission is to reduce e-waste pollution, protect natural ecosystems, and promote safe recycling of harmful materials found in electronic devices.

Electronic waste is one of Canada’s fastest-growing waste streams. According to the Government of Canada:

Canadians generated over 1 million tonnes of e-waste in 2020—triple the volume from 2000.

The per capita generation rose from 8.3 kg in 2000 to 25.3 kg in 2020.

Only around 25% of e-waste is properly recycled, leaving the rest to contaminate the environment with toxic substances like lead, mercury, and cadmium.
When e-waste ends up in landfills or is improperly disposed of, it releases toxins into the soil, air, and water, leading to long-term environmental and public health risks

A nominal fee applies based on volume and item type.

Due to high demand, appointments are limited and handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
